December 14, What an exciting weekend for the Encino Park Robotics Team. We competed at the Texas Computer Educators Association Competition in two area, the arena competition and the inventions categories. Our Arena teams were awesome! Team 1 came in third and team 2 was just a little behind this group. Our team pulled together and worked really well together to accomplish this. Our inventions groups made a very good showing. The girls Clean a Tron was outstanding and this team of four girls were very creative in their design and activities. The boys Air Ferry was a work in progress and these boys learned a lot about rebuilding and adapting. The Air Ferry did not like staying together and had to be rebuilt a couple of times but it worked.

The arena competition was quite tough with a long program that was very fun to keep up with. The boys learned about overcoming unforeseen variables like the other teams robot grabbing your robot. It was also very tough when the cog was knocked into our area and caused the robot to go off course. These two teams were outstanding in their tenacity and diligence. Hard work paid off for the first team. They came everyday after school for two weeks to program each part of their course. After the break we will take the program apart and chunk it so it is easier to navigate. Congratulations to the Encino Park Robotics Club and to Will, Grayson , Kyle and Preston on their Third place win and to John , Joseph , Nathaniel and Kaito on a great showing.

Congratulations to our inventors Riley, Thomas, Alex and Alex, Katie, Cayla, Maddie and Loralie. You were awesome.

Our builders and engineers from the team showed up to help with their teammates. We will show Ben's pictures at a meeting later. Ben did a great job getting close to the action.

  1. What an awesome website!! If I had a million dollars, I'd give at least 100,000 to the epe robotics team!!! (and I'd also buy you a monkey . . . Haven't you always wanted a monkey?)
